General Manager, Jason Hensgen

Originally from Chicago Illinois, Jason Hensgen grew up as a student athlete. He graduated in the top 10% of his graduating class and was awarded athlete of the year at his high school after a 4th place finish in the IHSA State wrestling finals. His athletic background is what has helped him to develop his strong work ethic, accountability, and his ability to work as a team. Jason always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Upon graduating high school, he began working and climbing the ranks in a direct sales and marketing organization. By age 20, Jason became the owner of his own marketing firm and relocated to San Diego, CA where he spent the next 5 years growing his organization to 15 additional locations across the U.S.
In 2014 Jason relocated his business to Houston, TX to be closer to his wife's family. As a father of 4 beautiful children, he believes it's important to be close to family and loved ones. Jason ran into struggles during then Covid-19 pandemic and was forced to close the doors to his business and make a transition into sales management roles.
Jason brings his charisma, ability to focus, overcoming adversity, and problem solving to the Houston Texas Sir Grout role. He's passionate about helping people transform their spaces into something they'll love for years and years to come. He believes that clear communication, honesty, and integrity are key factors to the success of Sir Grout Houston; especially, in an industry where those qualities can be hard to find. Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending his time with his wife and kids, going to church, catching movies, being around great people, and just having a good time!
Operations Manager, Yenly Chen-Sum
Yenly has been an invaluable member of the Sir Grout team for over 8 years, starting her journey as our Digital Marketing Account Manager. Throughout the years, she has transitioned into several key roles, eventually becoming our Operations Manager. Her tenacity, determination, and persistence have played a crucial part in our success as a franchise, and she consistently demonstrates an unwavering commitment to the company's growth and development.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Yenly connects with our diverse clientele and staff, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships. Her kindness and patience shine through every customer interaction, making her a trusted point of contact for those we serve. Yenly's background in tile and grout repair, paired with her ability to handle any challenge head-on, has made her an essential team member.
Coming from a large family with a strong work ethic and a tile and grout repair background, Yenly has always understood the importance of hard work and persistence. Her willingness to embrace change and continuously seek out new learning opportunities makes her a dynamic force within the company. From countless Excel formulas to ensuring our customers receive the best surface restoration service, Yenly is not afraid to dive into any challenge. She is known for tackling both big and small tasks with equal enthusiasm and expertise.
